We focus on science and technology for emerging Nanoelectronics applications with a particular focus on III-V MOSFETs. Our efforts build on knowledge in nanotechnology that we combine with conventional device top-down processing to realize new functionalities. Our research bridges the areas of Nanoscience (NanoLund) and ICT applications (EIT).

Research: Martin Magnusson's research is in materials physics directed towards semiconductor nanostructures. In particular, aerosol-based methods are used to create nanoparticles and nanowires directly in the gas phase, a process known as Aerotaxy. In my group we investigate different ways of taking advantage of quantum mechanics to design for example electronic components with desirable Research My research group uses experimental and numerical methods to study transport phenomena far from thermal equilibrium. One focus is on nanoelectronic systems, where we investigate non-linear quantum transport phenomena, symmetry breaking, and efficient energy conversion between heat, light and electricity.
